本劇為「霍元甲」系列二部作品。霍元甲的弟子陳真報了殺師之仇後，變成了「通緝犯」，但因上海市長的掩護讓陳真詐死逃脫。陳真自此與霍元甲的遺孤霍東覺隱姓埋名遷至北京，寄身於福威武館，一次日本特務佐藤霸川以比武作為示威挑釁，陳真雖擊敗佐藤等人，但巧遇漢奸張和，為避免張和識出身份，於是與霍東覺離開，被國人誤以為臨陣脫逃。後來陳真的真實身份曝光，再度以民族英雄的姿態受國人尊敬，但佐藤霸川不肯善罷干休，一心想至陳真於死地。

陳真回到天津，找回昔日精武門的師母、師太、師兄弟等人，計畫重建精武門的大計。由於佐藤的百般構陷，陳真多次遇險，幸得太人與同門師兄弟相助才逢凶化吉。佐藤殺害陳真不成，於是擄走霍東覺，設下陷阱引陳真上鉤，陳真與佐藤等人同歸於盡。國人悼念陳真，陳真終於成為萬民敬仰的民族義士。

Yes, really really excited about Jing Wu and Chen Zen dramas/movies now. Just finished
watching TVB Fist of Fury Donnie Yen. Great and more elaborate remake of Bruce Lee's
orginal with more of a backdrop of post WWI and pre WWII so it's great!!!
