I dont think they are in danger because MU had offered to many services, such as streaming videos etc...that is what made them so criticical. other file hoster do not offer that kind of services...and they are also not able to check for users uploading files. at least that is in their term of reference. therefore the government cannot act on that, as the owners of that hosting are not responsible for hosting these files...if yes, then the big companies, such as yahoo with its messenger, irc, or even email accounts, which allow users to attach bigger files are responsible for the files uploaded or sent. That is something which is impossible! therefore other filehosters are more or less safe for the moment.

No need to worry about it, only file hosting owner or avipzone.com will get trouble

i also read it sumwhere, they might even get the pple who downloaded copy right stuff from megulaod, but thats a maybe when they cant get the pple who uploaded them, they'll just get the pple who downloaded it and torrent for chinese stuff are rare to get and only site i noe of is tvboxnow that they have there own torrent.

MegaUpload - Closed.
FileServe - Closing does not sell premium.
FileJungle - Deleting files. Locked in the U.S.
UploadStation - Locked in the U.S.
FileSonic - The news is arbitrary (under FBI investigation).
VideoBB - Closed! would disappear soon.
Uploaded - Banned U.S. and the FBI went after the owners who are gone.
FilePost - Deleting all material (so will leave executables, pdfs, txts)
Videoz - closed and locked in the countries affiliated with the USA.
4shared - Deleting files with copyright and waits in line at the FBI.
MediaFire - Called to testify in the next 90 days and it will open doors pro FBI
Org torrent - could vanish with everything within 30 days "he is under criminal investigation"
Network Share mIRC - awaiting the decision of the case to continue or terminate Torrent everything.
Koshiki - operating 100% Japan will not join the SOPA / PIPA.
Shienko Box - 100% working china / korea will not join the SOPA / PIPA
ShareX BR - group UOL / BOL / iG say they will join the SOPA / PIPA

Japan, China and Korea have a say NO to the FBI and that even if laws are passed in the USA will not have any value within the sovereignty of their countries!

P/S: mediafire has start deleting copyright protected files. Only left is the personal files.

Magnet links are the new thing. They run DHT like torrents, but unlike torrents, they don't require trackers, so there's no record of your IP, so the FBI can suck their own balls trying to figure out who's downloading what, even though they know stuff is being downloaded. PirateBay is moving over to Magnet links soon (they are already included in the torrents you've been dling off them) and ditching torrents completely. DW though, they operate in the exact same way. Utorr supports it as well, so no change that you will notice.

Hey guys I just found this article and it's quite disturbing. It say something about the Government got hold of all the files on Mega upload and they may go after the people who upload copyrighted infringement stuff. Mostly after the people who upload US Movies and Music. Don't know if true or not, but should just be cautious now if you planning continue to upload stuff.

So what exactly is happening to these files now that Megaupload is not working?

Right now you can feel secure that your files are safe on the Megaupload servers. The FBI is going to keep the files intact so that they can go over them with a fine-toothed comb looking for illegal content - if you had anything copyrighted or otherwise illegal up you should cross your fingers they don’t issue a warrant against the IP address that file was uploaded from. Those who had large stashes of copyrighted movies and music are the most at risk, but it’s not a guarantee, just something you should be aware of.

Oh No They Didn't! - If Megaupload is not working, what happens to the files?

btw...for everyone to know:
torrent is not as safe as you might think. since torrents are more or less available and public to anyone. Plus, everyone can "login" into that torrent and see, who is connected with that torrentfile...respectively who is downloading from him.
an Example:
someone from TVB could download that torrent, starts his client to run that torrent and he will promptly be connected with ppl sharing that file. He could see your IP and Country and initiates an investigation towads the provided information. that is why it is not safer than other peer2peer tools.
Napster, Emule, Edonkey Kazaa etc..works the same way....

there is a better and safer way to download and provide files. I am in chat chat with icekiller...or whoever is in charge with avipzone, please contact me.

cheers,
sosoflex
